Amanda Petrusich , in her article "The Lofty optimism of Spotify and the influence of the Streaming Revolution", argues that Spotify can be negative impact for music on the internet and how we should stay to the normal traditional way of music is having tracks and CDs. When Amanda first stated " I don't stream music she means that she don't like streaming she rather listen to the old traditional way by listening to music by tracks and CDs. Secondly, in the article it says "I'm restless and don't like always being tethered to the internet". It makes Amanda Petrusich feel like she is being restricted to the internet by not allowing her to listen to whatever she wants in her own way. Also in the article it says "Because I still relish the experience of choosing and purchasing albums" she is still greatly enjoying choosing and purchasing albums because she can choose what she wants in her way. She still supports going and getting albums the traditional way. Finally in the article Amanda Petrusich talks about "The popularity of Streaming had led to obvious changes in how music is being produced" and streaming has also resurrected the idea that the medium through which an album or track is made available. I think Spotify can be negative impact for music because when you use Spotify you are limited to what you want to hear as of just buying the tracks or CDs you can listen whenever you want. Like in the article that says "If your opinion are limited, then you, too, are limited. Amanda Petrusich rather play tracks and CDs because she don't like streaming like Spotify because she feels boring with it I think I am on the same page as Amanda I rather play tracks or CDs then streaming on the internet because by playing tracks or CDs I can play them on my own time or whenever I please.
I agree with Petrusich idea concerning physical media and streaming services. I prefer agreeing with Petrusich's idea because I rather do the traditional way by buying tracks or CDs because I don't really trust streaming because they can be very pricey by paying monthly to just listen to music online. I remember buying my first piece of music I own and still to this day I some times play my favorite song on the album. The album is called the "Taylor Swift" that was made in 2008 by herself Taylor Swift but the main song that was number one and made the album was called"Tim McGraw". That was my very first purchase ad even my very first album that I own when I was growing up as a teen. Back then I prefer the album so I can play the songs whenever I wanted too. Back when I was growing up there wasn't really streaming going on. Buying the album was the cheapest thing to do back then now a days buying on the app store is cheaper. After Reading the Petrusich's article it made me rethink about how much this music changed in the past few years from tracks or CDs now internet streaming. I would recommend this article to who is interested in a article about the influence of streaming.
