My life's Story

Hello my name is Kayla Morace. I am writing a little bit about my life's story. I was born and raised  in a little town called Ferriday , Louisiana. It is about 7 hours way from Bryan, Texas. Ferriday, Louisiana is known for the good spicy crawfish and the two famous singers Jerry Lee Lewis and Mickey Gilley. Some people say I might be related to Jerry Lee Lewis in a way which is very cool.  When I was a little girl I had to ride 7 hours every other month to see my family in Bryan for the holidays like Christmas, Thanksgiving and even sometimes Easter. One day me and my family decided to move to Texas to be with the family. I am the youngest out of one brother in my family. I moved to Bryan about 6 years ago to not just be with family but to have a better education for me like high school and college. I graduated at James Earl Rudder High school in May of 2017.
At that moment I been waiting my whole life to graduate because when I was little I was diagnosed with "ADHD" which stands for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. So when I was in school I had problems and doing my school work like normal kids my age. Now by the time I was in high school the disorder started to fade away like I never had it in the first place. I guess as I got older the problems just was not problems anymore. Around the time I graduated high school I wanted to show my family that no matter what was going on I was not going to let it stop me from living my dreams as a Radiology Technician.
After high school  my next journey was college so I started here at Blinn this past Fall of 2017 to jump start my major as a Radiology Technician in the medical field. I picked this major because I love a challenge to help people in any type of way possible. So far it has been a crazy ride but I have 4 solid years to go before I reach for my dreams. I hope you like my life's story. I hope it makes you think about your dreams and for whatever problems or reasons, do not let it take you away from your dreams because it did not Take mine away.

  1. Kayla, You could do a lot worse than being related to either Jerry Lee Lewis or Mickey Gilley. People tell me all the time I look like a member of the Duck Dynasty clan. I do not consider this a compliment. So see? You could have it worse.

Good on you for holding to you goals of Radiology Technician. You've got a lot of work ahead of you, but a solid, high demand career on the other side. And as you grow in your attention skills, the academic work will only prove to be less and less of a hassle.

    Thanks for a solid introduction.
